8 Day Beaches and Palm Groves of the Great Moroccan South Horse Riding Holiday
Horse Riding Holiday in MoroccoEnjoy this ride along the coast of the great south of Morocco, a few kilometers traveled from the south of Agadir to the ranch! The rides are aimed at riders holding all three paces and having a good practice of horses on all types of terrain. It is advisable to have a good physical condition. On average, there will be 6 hours of horse riding per day. This ride is in a semi comfort version.
AccommodationYou will stay at various accommodations arranged by Ranch Les 2 Gazelles. The rates are on a double room basis. Please note that the single options are limited. Send an inquiry if interested. If a client registers alone and we have no other rider likely to share the room, the single room supplement of 120 EUR will be charged.
ProgramDay 1: AgadirReception at Agadir airport and transfer to the riad des chti's. Opportunity to discover the horses and the team if arriving during the day.
Day 2: Agadir - TakatDeparture from Agadir on horseback. As soon as you leave the city, you will follow the magnificent arm of the Agadir delta. Enjoy the opportunity to observe seagulls, gulls, herons, and other large wading birds that nest throughout the year.
At the end of the delta, you will cross the century-old eucalyptus forest, in order to reach the beach for lunch overlooking the ocean. After the meal break, you will return by the shaded tracks to the Takat campsite where you can enjoy the swimming pool. Night under large Berber tents.
Day 3: Takat - Sidi ArbatBack to the ocean and ride through the huge sand dunes that make the beauty of this coast bordered by Berber fishing villages. Lunch by the ocean, then drive along the coast to the village of Sidi Arbat. The immensity of the ocean and its colors are in the background. Overnight at the beautiful traditional hotel in Sidi Arbat.
Day 4: Sidi Arbat - Palm grove of MassaOn a day full of color and discovery, you will follow the reserve of the national park of Souss Massa, the classified biosphere of the Arganeraie. The opportunity to observe the last colony of black ibis in North Africa. And maybe have the chance to come across white oryx and gazelles that live in the reserve. Cormorants, herons, and falcons will accompany you throughout the day.
Lunch will be taken in the shade of the argan trees, a treasure of Morocco. In the evening, join others at the hotel of the palm grove of Massa for a bath in the swimming pool or a traditional hammam (Hammam only on reservation, minimum 3 people).
Day 5: Palm grove of Massa - AnfoudBanana trees, olive trees, and palm trees will accompany you to the cliffs where you will find the ocean and its troglodyte fishing villages. Lunch on the beach.
Magnificent galloping tracks will allow you to cross the sandy desert to the cottage run by a Berber family. Enjoy a rustic and typical accommodation in a very friendly family (note traditional comfort therefore more basic).
Day 6: Anfoud - the RanchLast day of the hike, you will cross the stone and sand desert, via the ocean. Lunch on the cliffs with a magnificent view. If the tide is low enough, return to the Ranch by the beach with 15 kilometers of fine sand!
If the tide is too high, return via the dunes that dominate the beach. If the tide does not allow you to have a picnic, you will go directly to the ranch. Evening meal and overnight at the ranch.
Day 7: RanchDay hike around the ranch with a picnic in the mountains or star hike with lunch at the ranch, possibility to enjoy the massage parlor, the beach, or the swimming pool 5 minutes walk from the ranch.
Day 8: AgadirTransfer to Agadir Airport for your return flight. You will fly back home with a lot of memories.
